Lots of whales around today including Biggs and K pod rezzies. There were multiple Biggs pods in various places, a few humpback whales and a gray whale.
We searched unsuccessfully on a Bigg’s pod sighting and ended up with K Pod. One of the big males was chasing salmon, twisting and turning to catch the fish.
We stopped by the rock to see black oystercatcher chicks but just saw adults. We traveled a lot of miles to finally end up off San Juan Island viewing K Pod whales.
The water was rough in many areas but calmer in others.
